What's your New Year's resolution for 2009? How did you do with 2008's?
My New Year's resolution for '09 is to:
- Stop Biting My Nails (on-going for quite some time now)
- Have a gym routine
- Feel better about myself (confidence in myself and those who care about me)
My '08 resolutions were not too bad. I did go to the gym more (but not as often as I should have). I did not stop biting my nails, but hopefully this year i can do better. My other resolution was to stop sweating the small stuff, and i have done better with that than the previous year. I still have tons of work to do, but i'm well on my way.
Which color do you think best represents you and why?

It would have to be Green!! (it's not easy being green - Kermit the Frog..) And, it is not just because it is my favorite color.
Green can be bright and bold and playful. I am that most of the time. But, Green can also be considered negative and have negative side effects....like being "Green with Envy".
Look at the many faces of green!
Green like one of my favorite gums (DoubleMint). Its sweet and refreshing. Green reminds me of renewal.
Green like nature. I love nature. I have tons of plants at home and at work. If i had it my way, i would have more plants at work than paper. That may partially be becuase I have a green thumb!
Green like Recycling. Keeping a green life. I try to recycle as much as possible. I go out of my way to ensure my coworkers and family recycles (even if i have to pick up behind them!). Recently, i purchased this fleece jacket that was made out of 20 plastic bottles. I was amazed. Living the green life, one step at a time! Living a green life by removing all the additives (or bad things) your body, home and the environment does not need.
Green like M&M's. I love how their colors just feel fun and simple. Green is lively. It can be the exact amount. Not too much, not too little.
Green is calming. It is considered to be a "cool" color. It shows renewal, like in nature. It is restful, like taking a nap in the grass.
Green like a light. Green means go. I have permission to carry on. Green like "Greener Pastures" meaning moving onto something better.
Green like stones. Emeralds. Their beauty shines with no effort. They are hard, sturdy stones, but can break if too much pressure is placed against it.
Green can be negative. Like being a "Green-Eyed Monster". Having jealosy. Being Green, like at work, having inexperience. Green, like envy or greed. Or, "Green around the Gills", meaning to be pale and scaly (like a fish).
But Green, to me, is more than negative or positive. It is what it stands for. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fetility. It is strong, stable, and durable. Green stands for hope. The hope for renewal. I heard from one of my classes, that the most restful color for the human eye is green (and that it can improve vision). Green is like being healthy. Keeping the non-green out of your body. Keeping the natural. Keeping the pure.
At home or in the theater: What's the last great movie you watched?
I have to admit, this is a tough one! I have seen so-so movies lately....and some great ones. Both at home and at the movies. I enjoyed the new Indian Jones movie, up until the very end. (SPOILER ALERT! : The end with the aliens was a bit too much for me...did not like that at all). I took my honey to see Madagascar 2 and loved it. Hey, I may not be a kid, but i enjoyed it. The last Batman movie to come about was also one i really enjoyed. Like a ton of people said, I do not think it was appropriate for young kids. It was a bit of a psychological movie in my opinion. Good but it was a bit wild.
There haven't been a ton of movies that I felt were REALLY Great. Most were fun or entertaining but none that were WOW for me.
Thanksgiving is only a few days away. What is your favorite Thanksgiving recipe? Will you be making it this year? Mind sharing?
My specialty is Apple Crumb Pie. It is super-duper easy to make!! I do not think i will make it this year, but i will share the recipe!!
You will need the following:

- 1/8 tsp. Salt
- 1/2C soft Butter (not fully melted)
- 6C peeled, sliced cooking apples (smaller than normal apples)
- 1/2C sugar

- Vanilla Ice Cream (optional, but i think it adds to it!!!)
Directions:
- Combine flour, brown sugar, salt, and butter; blend until crumbly then set aside.
- Combine apples, granulated sugar, and cinnamon; mix gently to coat apple slices.
- Pack apple mixture into crust
- Sprinkle crumb topping on top of apples in crust.

Santa has it easy what with all those elves and reindeer lending him a helping hand (and hooves), but we have technology to make our lives easier. How does technology make your holiday shopping and planning easier?
Sponsored by Best Buy.All I have to say is Thank My Lucky Stars for the internet. I love how I can find the best deals by searching online and comparison shopping. Also, since the internet also is like the phone book, I can look up the number to any store and call to see if the price is what it says online and if they have the item I want in stock in their store (or a store close by). And, since some if their advertisements are also online, I can see the sweet deals available to me in my area. Other than that, online shopping is also great. Since I sign up for those coupons to be sent to my email address from my favorite stores, I can print them and go shopping or use the coupon code, and get a discount off my online purchases. I love how the internet has allowed me to save money ( and to prevent me from buying things I do not need, like I normally would have purchased had I seen it in the stores).
Thank you Technology!
What's the last gadget/toy you bought that you didn't really need? Why did you buy it?

The last item I purchased in store was my computer. I needed that. I do not tend to purchase electronics unless I need them or they are gifts. It's not my type of purchase.
If you could be featured in a magazine which one would you choose?
What three qualities do you look for in a partner?
Submitted by Tenor Bob
Understanding....to listen to me and realize that although I may not make any sense at all, that he would try to listen and comprehend at least what I am trying to say.
Honesty.....I want a partner that will be truthful with me and does not tell me any lies, no matter how much it may hurt me or him. I want my partner, my companion to be up front with me, even if it is something I may not approve of.
Humor....I want my partner to laugh at the smallest things; to not take life so seriously. I want him to laugh with me, not just at me. I want someone to share those stupid/humiliating/embarrassing moments with. I do not want a partner to be high-strung. I want him relaxed, not too relaxed; but, I do want him to enjoy life, every moment of it.
How do you travel to and from work - personal vehicle, bus, subway/train, pedal power? What does it cost you per week in gas or fares?
Submitted by Jan.
So....here is the math of my daily commute..
$2 Toll + $40 Gas (250 Miles) = WAY TO MUCH TO DRIVE TO WORK!
Okay.....okay....for math's sake, 30 minute drive to work is 30 Miles.....
so, each tank of gas only gets me to work for 4.1 days.
In the end....a week of driving to work costs me.....$10 Toll Money + $55 Gas = $65 For commuting to Work a week!
