Upper Canada Soap & Candle Makers, a Canadian-based bath and body line, will support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating 25 cents of every sale of its Peppermint Foot Therapy collection to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (www.bcrfcure.org).
This pampering foot care line is the ultimate at-home spa treatment. It’s designed to soothe and soften tender heels and toes with shea butter and glycerin, while refreshing peppermint and essential oils stimulate circulation and leave a cooling sensation. The Peppermint Foot Therapy is the indulgent way to take away the wear and tear from precious feet.
Start your foot care routine with the Pedicure Foot Soak and Relaxing Foot Salts. Then prep your precious feet with the Soothing Foot Mud Mask designed to draw toxins from skin. Both the Exfoliating Foot Scrub made with real walnut shells and the Warming Foot Scrub slough away dry skin leaving an incredible warming sensation.

BREAST CANCER BLING!!
I think that this ring is an absolute perfect way to make those around you aware of breast cancer and it’s efforts. It would be especially lovely for a breast cancer survivor.
Hidalgo’s breast cancer ring, made from enamel and 18k gold, is something a woman can hold onto and forever embrace.
This stunning ring sells for $725 at Hidalgo Jewelry.
A portion of the proceeds support Breast Cancer Awareness.
I think
I’ve mentioned this before, but I am really surprised that products designed specifically to fragrance the hair aren’t more popular. Perfumes or body sprays don’t really work with the hair - silicones, gels, and other light oils are more ideal. Alcohol is a bad idea with hair in general because it is drying and can also potentially mess with colored hair.
Aquolina, with its stellar bestseller Pink Sugar, is down with that. They offer a 100ml hair perfume with silicones (a bit can protect and shine the hair, but too much can weigh it down like a greaseball, so go gentle). it’s quite cute and the micro-mist is easy to use.
It’s only $15 at AvenueYou but can probably be found in many other brick & mortar stores, especially in Europe.
Perfumed hair I think is especially nice out of doors, or in a smoky bar or club. Carry a little container of perfume and prevent yucky smoke smells from attaching to your locks instead.
Head2Toe Beauty is mostly a stop for nail products for me, but I couldn’t help seeing this totally yummy Cherry Pie body wash. I know, I know, it makes you have Warrant in your head. I’m sorry. But it’s for a good cause - the proceeds are donated to the City of Hope for Breast Cancer Research. At only $5.95, I’m not sure how much goes to fighting this terrible disease, but every little bit helps, right? It’s also GREAT as a shampoo, too!
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Annick Goutal Parfums will donate 30% of the proceeds from the sale of Eau Splendide during the month of October to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
Annick Goutal Parfum’s continued participation in Breast Cancer Awareness Month is in loving honor of the company’s founder who was diagnosed with breast cancer and bravely battled the disease until her passing in 1999.
Eau Splendide is an all-over body spray. The spray will not only have you smelling beautiful, you will benefit from the ingredients in the formula. Some of them are Vitamin E and Active Rose Serum, an ingredient exclusive to Annick Goutal Parfums. Active Rose Serum contains a very high concentration of Vitamins A, B5, C, E and F, that combine together to promote healthy cellular growth and tissue repair. This exclusive serum also contains the trace minerals Magnesium and Calcium to reinforce the lipid barrier and transport nutrients to the cells.
Annick Goutal Eau Splendide sells for $89 at saks.com.
It is so touching when a company really embraces it’s employees. Such is the case with Archipelago Botanicals.
For Archipelago, a high-end candle and skincare company whose executive staff is mainly comprised of women, the reason to support breast cancer was easy, “You don’t have to look very far to find somebody whose life has been affected by breast cancer,” says Archipelago Founder David Klass. “My own mother was diagnosed, treated and is now very active in the fight. My father-in-law passed away from it; like most guys, he didn’t even know that men could get it. As the father of two girls and the owner of company employing mostly women – it gets personal.”
So when the women of Archipelago wanted to join the fight, the founders were completely on board with developing a project that would get Archipelago active in the cause; Ribbons of Love Diffuser was created with 40% of the net profits going to City of Hope. Collectively the name, exclusive fragrance and special decorative diffuser bottle reflect the dedicated love and support by the entire Archipelago family – those who have been touched by the disease and inspired to help the cause.
The end result is amazing. The fragrance is beautiful, a blend of Pink Grapefruit, Clementine and Pomelo. And it looks gorgeous on my bathroom vanity.
Ribbons of Love Diffuser retails for $50 and is available where Archipelago Botanicals is sold, including drugstore.com.
